Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information about you. Similar technologies such as browser local storage work in a comparable way. We use them only where they are genuinely needed, as described below.
2. Essential cookies (always active)
We use a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies that the Service cannot function without. These do not require your consent under UK GDPR because they are essential to providing the service you asked for:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase Auth) | Keeps you signed in to your ProdSignal account (authentication session). Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. | Session / up to 1 week |
These cookies are httpOnly where possible, are not used for advertising or tracking, and are never shared with third parties beyond the authentication flow itself.
3. Local storage (preferences)
We store a small number of preferences in your browser’s local storage (not cookies): your light/dark theme choice, and your cookie consent selection. These never leave your device and are not used for tracking. You can clear them at any time via your browser’s “clear site data” option.
4. Non-essential & analytics cookies
Currently we do not use any advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. If we ever add analytics or similar non-essential technologies, we will ask for your consent first through the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated to describe them.
5. Managing your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you choose “Accept All” or “Essential Only”. Because we only use essential cookies today, either choice gives you a fully working Service. To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit, letting you choose again. You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
